Summary

REFRACT project is included within ARCTIC-BIODIVER research program, which is focused on the development of biodiversity scenarios at national and circumpolar scales. REFRACT aims to monitor key biogeochemical aspects of Arctic inland freshwaters to test the influence of nutrient enrichment on structural and functional biodiversity. Biogeochemical parameters need to be traced on the field for later inclusion in predictive models addressing scenarios of biodiversity and ecosystem services across spatial scales, one of the main objectives of ARCTIC-BIODIVER.
